Stephanie Pinho, M.A., Ed.M., LMHC

Stephanie is a licensed psychotherapist clinically trained in New York City. She completed undergraduate studies at Cornell University and received both graduate degrees from Columbia University. In her thirteen years as a mental health practitioner, she has held positions as a Special Programs Counselor and lecturer at Brooklyn College, a behavioral specialist in child welfare and a bilingual psychotherapist for a nonprofit. Stephanie is a multilingual therapist of Brazilian descent providing a truly client-centered approach for a unique therapeutic experience.

Her role is to support each client in creating a self-directed experience. Each session is geared toward personalizing the client’s therapeutic space. Creating a space to help clients work through change—the new, the past, the overwhelming, the traumatic, but most importantly, the what-matters-now. Clients leave sessions feeling empowered by the work they have done in a safe therapeutic space. It is amazing what one can work through when given the space.

I am not what happened to me, I am what I choose to become.
